Unability to select some surface

Hello comuinity, I am facing some serious issues right after switching to a windows 11 laptop.
The issues I am facing consist into the unability to select some random faces of step models when defining new surfaces or node sets.

When setting up the new laptop I installed the .NET framework 4.8.1, may this be the issue? Or should I search somewhere else?

It seems there are problems with the selection on some hardware/driver configurations. The reason for this is hard to determine. There was a topic about it on the forum in the past, where some suggestions were given.

Yes I saw the discussions, but I didn’t understand if the issues were solved or just the discussions were closed.
I should at this point try contacting the users who met this problem before me and ask them about the workaround procedure

If you have a dedicated graphics card, you can try switching which card is used for running PrePoMax. You can also try to change/update the graphics drivers. I would think it is an OpenGL issue,

I also had the issue, switched from iGPU to dGPU and issues went away. I did it after I saw the same discussion previously. My older computer had only dGPU and there was no issues there. I thought that Windows 11 was also the issue but that previous discussion helped me. The GUI also started looking better with the more powerful graphics processor.

Since this is not really a bug that I can do something about I am moving this topic to general questions.
