Recently, when clicking the “Results” button after completing a Static Analysis in the latest versions (v2.6.0 & v2.6.2.dev), I encounter the following error:
The elements mainly consist of hexahedrons, mixed with tetrahedrons, pyramids, and wedges.
Interestingly, this error does not occur when the element is composed entirely of tetrahedrons.
Furthermore, running the exact same model in v2.5.0 does not produce this error.
Thise could be the culprit. Not so long ago there was an issue with them. CalculiX doesn’t have true pyramid elements yet, so those in PrePoMax are just collapsed wedge or hex elements (depends imon the setting - you can change it).
The error message mentions a function handling conversion of pyramid elements. Since they consist of collapsed wedge or hex elements, PrePoMax may not recognize them as pyramids when the results are opened directly. This information comes from the preprocessor.
