In the process of using, I found that when the CAD model is large or the number of meshes divided is large, there will be some problems in saving the pmx file. When the result file is too large, there will also be some problems in the reading of prepromax. It is recommended to improve this problem. ? For example, build prepomax files and grid data based on hdf5.
In addition, the speed of mesh generation by netgen is relatively slow. It is recommended to add gmsh support and use gmsh body tetrahedral high-order elements.
That is something that was reported a while ago but I could not get enough data to tackle the problem. I have not encountered this problem even when testing the models with up to 3.000.0000 nodes but my working PC has 128 Gb of RAM.
Can you share the size of your model and the RAM on your machine?
This is strange. Our students regularly create meshes of up to 500.000 nodes on their private PC that are very different in performance and such an error was not reported yet. But they are using native Windows PCs. Are you using a virtual machine?
