How to Reading Reaction Forces on Fixed Places

Hi everyone,

How can i take a force reading from the places i fixed in my model? I want to see reaction forces on fixed places.

Thank you all.

There are two ways to do this:

  1. Use FORC field output and the Query → Surface tool to get the sum of reaction forces on the whole fixed face.
  2. Request history output of the RF variable for a node set consisting of fixed nodes and set Totals to Yes.

Hi all,
does anyone know why the history output (reaction forces) works for a node set that is connected by ridgid to a reference point which is constraint but not for the reference node itself? Is a reference node not supposed to be used for RF output?
Thank you for any advice!

It seems to be a limitation or bug in CalculiX - it works correctly with solid elements.

Thank you for the hint. Is there anything wront with using the node set for history output in you opinion?
Thanks a lot!

No, as long as the output is correct which can be easily verified in this case.

Perfect, thanks for the reply!
