Export mesh only in Gmsh file format

hi, currently only CalculiX/Abaqus file format is supported in exporting. Gmsh file format (*.msh) seems to have feature rich internally e.g export further in format of Code_Aster, LS-Dyna, OpenRadioss, Nastran, OpenSees, and many more possibilities. Group of nodes, surface and body maybe enough to easily define of material, contact and boundary conditions. Hopefully this is on the road maps of development, thank you.

p.s currently i’m using Check Model feature in PrePoMax and some converter from Frd (undeformed) to Vtk to be readable in Gmsh.

This post was done a bit more than a yeay ago, but to be honest, i’m sharing the same thought: i woud be nice to export a mesh in Gmsh format (in addition to the .inp and .mesh ones)

There is already experimental support for Gmsh export built in, but it was hidden from all users. In the next version, it will be available to all.
