Hi, I’m new to this software and trying to run an analysis on an imported STEP file. After setting up the analysis and clicking Run, the error below immediately pops up and I’m not sure where to go from here. I’m running 2.3.9 dev on Windows 11. I would upload my pmx file but I do not have the permissions to do so yet.
Now you should be able to upload files. Does it happen only with this model or with any model you try ?
I exported a simple rectangular shape and setup the analysis the same as my other file but still getting the error. The models themselves are coming from SolidWorks. I tried the AP214 and AP203 step formats but neither worked. I also tried exporting as STL but I couldn’t get that one to successfully mesh.

I have the same error. It seems to be an issue with the material definition. Its property window looks different than normally. How did you define it? Is it imported from older version of PrePoMax or something ? When I redefine it as a new material, the analysis runs.
I was initially using Help > Advisor and on step 4 if you click “Create material model“ it brings up a window where you can enter some material properties.
I defined the material without using the advisor and the simulation runs now, thank you!
The bug is confirmed and fixed. The fix will be available in the next developer PrePoMax version.
