Step not being completely imported (PTC Modeling)-This time with shell

Good evening,
attached a step of two elements (exported as shells) which are not imported correctly (one of them is missing).

The bug is similar to the one already described and Matej solved for 3D models ( Step not being completely imported (PTC Modeling) - Bug Reports - PrePoMax ) but in this case the model has plane elements.
The model was opened with the stable version (2.3.0) and the latest available version (2.3.6).
Thanks for the good work, Prepomax is proving to be a great tool for the new engineers I work with and for the quick and easy analysis.

The models are no longer available, so I cannot test them. Any copies?

Iā€™m glad to see you.
I no longer have that file, but I have others created as tests that has the same problem. You can find them at the following link ( Test.zip is available for download ).

Ok, I downloaded the models and confirmed the problem. I will try to find the solution.

I was able to solve the problem using ChatGPT :slight_smile: So I am not 100 % sure it will work for all cases. But I did test all your files and some other .step assemblies from Solidworks, and they opened as expected.

I will release a developer version shortly, and testing will show how good it works.

Is there any improvement in this area? Version 2.4.4?
