Switch to 3D modeling

Hi,

I’m unable to solve a problem in Plane Stress and I would like go to 3D.
¿Is there any option to switch to 3D without having to set up the whole model again.?

You could try exporting the input file and changing element type to equivalent shell element and then importing back to PrePoMax as a 3D model but some features may fail to regenerate. Besides, you will likely have to replace the geometry with 3D (volume) one anyway.

I just have shells, but contacts don’t seem reliable. I will try.

At the moment, switching between 2D and 3D is not possible. This was introduced to prevent creating non-working 2D models. With additional checks on the geometry this could be possible if there is need for it.
