Simplify Model option when create New file

hi, this is my personal opinions but maybe common user also.

every time user create New file, there’s many option in Model Space namely

  • 3D
  • 2D Plane Stress
  • 2D Plane Strain
  • 2D Axisymmetric

may it be possible to simplify with only two options 3D or 2D instead of four?

later can be selected for option of 2D model space (Plane Stress/Strain, Axisymmetric) under menu Model → Edit

I’m not sure about that. It could bring some confusion - users leaving the default plane stress setting even when not applicable or trying to find where the type of 2D analysis can be changed. Perhaps a better way would be to add two levels of selection in that model creation window - switching between 3D and 2D models and then selecting the type of 2D analysis below. But I’m ok with the currently implemented solution as well.

thanks for another possibility to simplified menus, but it seems Model → Edit menu still can discarding the problem type in Model space user defined at starting.

I was thinking about how to simplyfiy the new file procedure when I was designing it. But since the user has to define the unit system, a form is needed. I think that if this form contains some more settings, like 3D and 2D setups, this does not effect the productivity to much but at the same time makes the selection much more clearer.
