Solver selection

I have a problem in the selection of the solver in the analysis, because it seems to me that, irrespective of the setting of the solution method, only pastix is called. I tried to see the solver parameter in the Analysis-1.inp file and I didn’t find it.

Which PrePoMax version are you using?

I am using version 1.4.1

Once you set a non-default solver in the step settings, you should see something like:

*Step
*Static, Solver=Spooles

in the Keyword Editor (Model → Edit CalculiX Keywords). The solver’s name will be also mentioned in the Monitor → Output tab when you submit the analysis.

It’s working properly in v1.4.1 on my side.

Jakub,
On my side in the keyword editor the solver parameter in the input file is missing. Do I need to add the parameter in the keyword editor or should prepomax make the correction?

PrePoMax will add the solver if you select it in Step → Solver field. If you leave it to default, the default solver is used.
