In some commercial software there is an option to select whether a Link should be Rigid or Deformable or Coupled (I think its also referred to RB2 or RB3 in Nastran).
However, in PrePoMax/Calculix it only seems to allow a Rigid scenario. Take for example the square plate shown below where a remote force is applied to the surface. Note that in the commercial software (on the left), the plate deforms and in PrePoMax there is no deformation and the plate remains rigid.
Is there perhaps an option that I missed or Keyword Editor that allows for this ?
This would be the task for coupling constraints. For now, you can define them using the Keyword Editor but they might be also implemented in the near future. Just keep in mind that they have some limitations in CalculiX.
