Launch Calculix solver from PrePoMax?

Hi,

Is it possible to launch a Calculix run from the PrePoMax GUI in the same way as Abaqus/CAE?

I’ve made some modifications to the input file using a text editor as the Calculix functionality is not available in PrePoMax. Is it possible to run the analysis without PrePoMax over-writing the input file. Or is there another way of doing this?

No, you have to run the analysis from the command line (outside of PrePoMax) in such cases. Here’s a detailed instruction: Using standalone CalculiX

You can edit the keywords inside PrePoMax and then use PrePoMax in a standard way.

In most cases this is sufficient but sometimes outside edits are necessary or more convenient.
