HI
I attach files in Iges and Step format during the import phase with V2.2.6 dev the model is not completely imported generating errors on some elements, with v1.4.1 both the Iges and Step files are imported without errors.
Is it a Bug?

There may be problems when using the “split periodic surfaces” option. Disable this option and it should work.
Problem solved
Thanks for the reply
I was not aware this option was causing problems. Should it be turned off by default?
I suspect the reason for this is inaccuracies when generating the STEP file (depending on the CAD system and the associated settings) and not the complexity of the geometry itself. When I have some time I will do some tests.
I did not have problems with my models since I use Solidworks and export the STEP files with the option to split periodic surfaces before exportation.
So please do some tests to determine if this option would be better suited as a feature in the menu than a default setting.
I started experimenting with downloaded step files from manufacturer websites, thereby I noticed a much bigger problem: All imported step files could no longer be defeatured when the split periodic faces option was active (simplest fillets, chamfers and holes could not be deleted) although this could easily be done if the option was disabled.
So I created a cylinder with a chamfer myself using Freecad and NX, and even with these step files the defeaturing of the chamfer no longer works:
Therefore in my opinion, subsequently splitting the surfaces with a separate feature (e.g. after defeaturing) would be the better option in any case.
I am not a Solidworks user, but you should be able to turn off this export option and make your own tests:
i hope this feature kept due to usefulness in hex meshing, and option to apply in whole model is available when this feature moves to menu

add some test, CAD Builder (Salome) work in defeaturing even surface has been split,
I can’t confirm that, I also tested it with the step files created in Salome and it didn’t work for me.
i use CAD Builder part of Salome project but it may not exactly the same. The problem in CAD compatibility, no single solution can fit all. If there’s work around by disable in splitting curve from default, that’s good solution probably.
