Comparing results to solidworks simulation

Hi,
I’m new user of prepomax, comparing it to other open source software the user interface is very good.
I’ve ran a bench test comparing the same model & same loads and constraint.
the results displacement result are: Solidworks 0.5 mm, prepomax 9 mm.
Can someone explain what I did wrong? attached the PMX files.
Thanks,
Oren

What is the total force you want to apply to this edge - 33 N or 627 N ?

It should be 33 N on this edge

But it’s 627 N. Explanation (about faces but the same applies here): Don't apply concentrated force load to surfaces

You should apply the load differently (e.g. using a rigid body constraint) or divide the total load by the number of nodes and then use the concentrated force.

Thanks. now i better understand the logic of the software. I’ve got similar result to solidworks simulation.
I’ve created a rigid body constraint.

also, it can be use Surface traction feature in PrePoMax, it seems the behavior is similar to *Coupling type *Distributing, but it lacks of rotational forces (concentrated moment).

*edited of screenshot model examples,
to avoid singularity it’s recommended to assign load at small portion of surface instead of nodes directly.

Wrong thread, right ?

sorry, previously i have still given an example by screenshot of different models.
