I’m new to PrePoMax. I’m trying to run an axisymmetric problem, but the model doesn’t run.
If I switch to Plane Stress, the model runs correctly.
Does anyone has an example of an axisymmetric run?
Thanks
Michele

Can you share the file with a problematic model ?
Of Course. But the system replies that I cannot upload files.
How can I share the model?
M
Due to the size ? Did you pack the files to zip ?
If it doesn’t work directly on the forum, you can share the files via Google Drive or Dropbox for instance. You could also use WeTransfer but the files will disappear after a week so it’s not a perfect solution.
The problem is caused by CalculiX, not PrePoMax. The boundary conditions in your model are incorrect. When I changed them, the analysis worked. The results were not that good (there were some spurious stress concentrations) so I used load control instead of displacement control.

You should also refine the mesh in the region of contact.
