Can you share the .pmx file or at least screenshots of your setup in the FE Model tab ?
Yes, this looks good (as long as rigid body is applied to a face and moment is applied to reference point). Do you get correct results with this setup ?
No, the result is not seen in result tab
Even if you right-click on Analysis → Torsion and choose Results ? Please share the .pmx file for diagnosis then. You can use some hosting website such as Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or WeTransfer if you can’t upload the file directly here.
could you share your mail Id I will transfer the file through WeTransfer
I will send you a private message then to avoid spam.
However, now you should also be able to share the .pmx files here if they are not too large.
Hello, I’d like to take this opportunity to ask if anyone knows of an analytical solution to this problem using RBE3 elements. I’m running some tests and would need a source to compare it with. Or perhaps some other simple geometry reference to test my setup.
The analytical solution I used for this tutorial is just:
Do you need more detailed analytical approach to this problem including derivations and so on ? Then I would check “Theory of elasticity” by Timoshenko and Goodier. It has a chapter on that.
PS The OP’s problem is solved, the mesh was apparently too dense for the available computational resources. Also, the results opening procedure was clarified and the torque magnitude was adjusted.
If you just want to compare kinematic and distributed couplings or something like that, maybe you could use models such as those:

Yes you are right, Thanks for the links and sorry.
