Server utilization

Hi all

I have setup a Dell R730 server to run calculix jobs (version 2.22), it has two sperate cpus with 16 physical cores in each one. I am running some moderately complicated contact models but the server isn’t working hard at all (temps are near ambient etc) my drives are a bit slow but I checked that io and that isn’t the issue. the solver is only using 5gb (out of 128) of ram so that isn’t a bottleneck

I have run export OMP_NUM_THREADS=32 and the output says that it is running 32 threads

What is the size of the model (number of nodes) ?

only 350k on this one, it is a submodel, I suppose that was an important detail.

That’s not so large indeed. Maybe try with less CPUs and check if they are all utilized.
