Dear all, since a few weeks I am using PrePoMax being impressed with the easiness of use. After my learning phase I came a cross a behavior I found no solution or hint.
Importing a STEP model is working correctly with correct dimensions in XZ and YZ.
Creating the mesh, resulting in correct dimensions as well.
Running the computation result in a very different size in XZ, about 5 times bigger. Dimension in YZ have increased just a little, from 90mm to 94mm.
The result itself (displacement) is significant bigger compared to FreeCad result,.
I did observe this behavior in v2.0.0 and v2.0.11 and v1.4.1
I run PrePoMax on Win10.
Can anyone suggest a hint or workaround?
Thanks
Wolfgang
What is your setup for this analysis ? It seems that you have a very large deformation (hence the auto scale factor of 0.039). Did you apply the concentrated force load on a surface by any chance ?
The distance measurement gives you the deformed distance. To get the base distance, you have to look at the output text box below the 3D view. There, you will see the Base value after measuring. So the base distance is the same, but your model deformed a lot since the max displacement equals 638 mm! Check the comment by FEAnalyst.
