Material Change between two steps

Hi,

Would it be possible to redefine the material parameters in a second Step?

I mean, to perform an analysis up to a certain load with one material and a different material “for the same mode” on the second step but respecting the previous Stress State. Kind of a phase change.

I recall reading somewhere a similar question but I’m unable to find the post.

In Abaqus, we sometimes use artificial temperature dependence of material properties if temperatures are not important.
