Imported pressure from non-CFD software

Hello everyone,

I’m trying to do a stress analysis on a light aircraft horizontal stabilizer (wing-like part). I could manage to do the model and it works fine, but for now I cannot do any better than a surface traction or a pressure for the aerodynamic load.

I saw that it is possible to import pressure field from OpenFoam, but I would like to know if it is possible to import pressure data from another file format.

To be more accurate, I would like to import it from XFLR5, using the 3D-panems solver. I know it can be done in Catia for example, but is it in Prepomax ?

Thank you in advance !

Yes, since v2.3.5, it’s possible to use distributions from file for pressure and surface traction loads. The required text file format is explained here: A new developer/preview PrePoMax version v2.3.5 has been released - #2 by Matej

Thank you very much for your quick answer. That’s working just fine !
