Which Heat Flow Sign Convention does Prepomax Follow?
It should be the same as in CalculiX.
Calculix is not consistent in heat flux convention.
For Calculix , when user input (CFLUX, DFLUX) is positive, the heat enters the system. Like Prepomax.
But when requesting *Section Print, “(positive = flux leaving the element through the surface defined by the parameter SURFACE)”
I would assume Positive flux enters the system for Prepomax to be consistent with the actual user input criteria and most books.
If you are planing to read section print heat values from dat file it should be taken into consideration.
