I am trying to set up a linear elastic case for a chamber where a uniform pressure should be enforced inside the chamber. However, the internal surface of the chamber consists of numerous patches, one can hardly click and select them manually in PrePoMax. Therefore, I used Salome for the pre-processing where I created the mesh as well as the Group of Faces. The mesh file was then exported as the .unv file which can be imported to PrePoMax. The interface after importing the mesh can be found below:
To enforce a uniform pressure boundary condition, we need to have the Surfaces, which is empty here. I found that we can use Nodesets (Pressure_fromEI) to create the an element for the Surfaces, but it is incomplete and some elements are missed (similar situation can be found for even the simple geometry). From my perspective, pressure load can be imposed on the node since you can easily use interpolation to convert it to cell centre. Unfortunately, I did not figure out how to do that.
Overall, I would like to know if you have any suggestions on the procedures of the pre-processing or PrePoMax settings. Thank you so much for your help!!
