Case 2 ? I made it in 2D where the solver expands to these types of solids internally, but of course, there’s just one layer then (unless layered shells are used).

For heat transfer problems, linear elements are often sufficient (a rare case where C3D4 can be of any use), but second-order ones may still provide better results.
