Transient thermal analysis

Dear All,

I ‘m using your software for the transient thermal analysis.

How can I use/implement a temperature curve (time-dependent temperature) as fire exposure in the program?

Thank you very much.

You can use the amplitude feature for this purpose. It’s described in the documentation.

Hi,

There is a phenomenal study case originally posted in the MECWAY forum.

[gemada] was able to replicate the 60min, 90min,120 min isotherms of a 300x600 concrete beam like the one shown in EC2. I have translated it to the Prepomax Version.

It can be an example of *Amplitude to set up the varing ambient temperature profile requested by the code:

T=20+345log(8t+1)/log(10) [ºC,min] (ISO834 curve, used internationally for fire resistance testing of components. The standard temperature-time curve is given by equation (3.4) in EC1-1-2)

Thank you both for your feedback. You have helped me a lot!
