Multi-steps Analysis

Dear PrePoMax team,
I would put together two simulation in one: press fit of gear on shaft (through command Defined fields + Tie Constraint) and meshing load (external loads on X, Y and Z direction).

I would perform on Step1 the press fit; then on Step2 the meshig load calculation.

My questions is the following: when performing the Step2, shall I keep the press fit through as well as the other boundary conditions as a Copy & Paste of previous Step1, or are those automatically inherited from previous Step1?

Thank you in advance for your support.
Regards, Umberto

Press fit should be done only in the first step.

PrePoMax by default uses OP=NEW for all boundary conditions and loads. This means that they are removed in subsequent steps and have to be redefined if they are supposed to be kept. One can manually change it to OP=MOD in the input file to keep the boundary conditions/loads from previous steps.
