Hello prepomax forum members,
There is anyway to analysis a complex load case, load combinations with calculix/prepomax?
And, there is an future development for analysis frame members? In most civil structures i create an dxf.file with lines/polylines describing the members and import on other software and after this place the sections, loads, etc…
Att,
Load cases as such are not supported but you can split load into multiple steps. Just be careful with the OP=NEW parameter added by default in PrePoMax.
Beam elements are not yet supported (requested here: Support for beam elements) but you can use them in FreeCAD for now.
thanks for quicky answer. I will see the options of freecad for modeling and analysis frame members.
I’ve studied dynamic analysis in the last final year, and the professor, Avelino, say’s about dynamic forces (F(t) = F0.sen(wt+φ)). There is any way to modeling an simple model of this:
||–//--[ m ] --//--[ m ]–//--||, with one degree of movement (horizontal) for the masses?
And, maybe, has an forum explain how to apply the senoidal force?
Of course, i wanna test it, in other situations, apply impact force, sismic acceleration, etc…
Yes, you can simulate such SDOF models in dynamics. There are point masses and spring to ground elements that can be used for this purpose. PrePoMax doesn’t support two-node springs yet (Spring between two nodes) but they can be added via Keyword Editor.
