Additional stress and strain field outputs

In addition to the currently available stress and strain field outputs, it would be nice to have these added:

  • Tresca stress - it was also requested by one of the viewers of my YouTube channel
  • principal strains

“Tresca stress” is a bit unclear term. Some programs treat it as maximum shear stress, other - as first principal stress minus the third one (means double maximum shear stress). The second form is more easy to use in engng practice and quite easy to implement.

What I meant is the second definition - the maximum difference between principal stresses. That’s likely the most common interpretation.

Yes, I would agree with the second Tresca definition. I will add it to the results output. I will also add the output of the principal strains.
