I don’t like this behavior of the program.

Right, perhaps it would be good to always show them. But then the panels could become a bit crowded with amplitude (film and radiation have 2), distributions and local coordinate system selectors.

I thought about this, and you are probably right. So I thought of creating a global setting: Hide unavailable properties. If the setting is Yes, you get the current behavior; if the setting is No, all properties are always shown. The default should then be: No.

Great, this should be perfectly sufficient. Maybe “properties” could be replaced by “modifiers” or something like that since that’s what amplitudes, distributions and LCSs do.
