# Selecting elements without gaps

Hello  
Hope you are all well  
I am trying to make 3 element sets for a tube in PPM however, manual selections result in some elements not being selected.  
I want to assign different materials to the different Elsets.  
It is a fairly easy case however, the selection is resulting in elements being left out and not being assigned any material and then error in running.  
I have attached a copy of the file on this drive

Would appreciate some guidance on how I could have all the elements designated to only the three groups that I make.

It would be much easier if it was a compound made of 3 imported parts. Otherwise, you have to be quite precise with box selection.

P.S. I would suggest updating PrePoMax. Your version is quite old.

I made a compound part, and it was much easier. Also updated my PPM version 🙂
