# Rectangle selection + zoom

Hi,
When selecting with the rectangle the first point selected should keep fixed if one zooms before ending the selection.

Hmm, you are right. The current solution is not intuitive. I will check how other programs handle such cases. I have newer tried such a combination before 🙂

Other programs that I tested disable the selection rectangle if a zoom feature is activated…

Hi,
I still find the actual behaviour complex and not intuitive.
When using the selection rectangle, the initial point of the rectangle is lost (moves) if one zooms during the selection process.That makes difficult to select when the selection requires some precision.
I would like to request if the first point on the selection rectangle could be fixed to the model and not to the window position. Maybe an option in the general settings so the user can decide.

I have added support for rectangle selection based on model space. It will be available in the next version.
