# Large Rotations

I preffer imposing large rotations as NLGEOM displacements on the rot node.  
Be sure to set up True Scale and Time Increments for a correct animation. I have not been able to reduce the size of the vid file to visualize the example.

That’s what the OP of that thread ([Rotation control doesn't work](https://prepomax.discourse.group/t/rotation-control-doesnt-work/1139)) did. Prescribed rotations (UR1-UR3) applied to ref point of a rigid body constraint are turned into ROT NODE displacements in PrePoMax. No need for keyword edits.

If you set this in your file:

 ![boundary](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/free1/uploads/prepomax/original/2X/3/338a1aac76d87c1139e2f07750daf8a885786d6e.jpeg)

It will be automatically converted to:

```auto
*Boundary, Amplitude=Tabular-1
428, 1, 1, 0
428, 2, 2, 0
428, 3, 3, 0
429, 1, 1, 0
429, 2, 2, 0
429, 3, 3, 1

```

¿Is the ref always fixed when the BC is translated by prepomax?

It’s fixed only because I set U1-U3 to 0. I can leave it as “Unconstrained” and nothing will be added under \*BOUNDARY for those DOFs.

Thanks. Mecway seems to work different.
