use basic setting to default uncheck or disable fit mid-side nodes to geometry,

this setting, also can eliminate distortion at mid-side nodes

I have extracted only the top surface of the middle part, and I can confirm that even using 2D meshing, there is a problem with projecting the mid-side nodes back to geometry when using the Quasi-structured quad algorithm. But not others.

I fail to see why this is so since the second-order elements are created only after the meshing is done, so projecting the mid-side nodes should be the same for all algorithms. Obviously, it is not.
